Some of these are old, some are new. All are, hopefully, fun.
- Murder Taxi
Take a LAV and hit enemies to kill them. Harder to do since it was nerfed, but still a viable tactic. For ultimate lulz, wear a Heavy suit and use a Logistics LAV.
- Car Bomb
Equip Proximity Mines. Find a nice spot where the LAV is most likely to get hacked instead of blown up; an open field sucks. Try around a corner, so that whoever discovers it is already close by. Place all your proximity mines on this spot. Park LAV on top. As soon as it gets hacked, it explodes, killing everyone around.
- Double Hack
Place a vehicle in front of a terminal so that it cannot be hacked. The maps have been designed to stop this, but it's possible in many maps still. The terminal in the cargo crate on that one map with the helipad structure can have a LAV parked in it, making it impossible to hack the terminal. The map with the pipes and ledges overlooking the terminal on the hill can also be blocked if you can boost a LAV up the ramp. Just park it in front.
Logistics LAVs work better. Works well with Car Bombing. Use a Soma with plates and passive resistance if the area is too large, or you need a bigger buffer. Only costs 150-200k and anyone can deploy it. This tactic is hilarious in Domination.
- Access Denied
Place a vehicle so that it blocks an essential entry point. Most maps have ramps that lead to terminals and these are the exact width of a LAV. Drive the LAV parallel to the stairs up them, and get out. Swap seats until you get out in the right spot or go around. Extremely effective.
- 20% WP Zone
Place a vehicle, preferably a very cheap LAV or BPO LAV in a key location, behind cover, and get out. Set a Defend order on it. Everyone near it gets +20% WP. It's better than a defend order, because you don't have to set it again every time the guy dies or runs away.
- Sniper Puree
Those snipers on that tower just won't let up? Call in a militia Dropship, fly above them and drop it on their heads.
- Mobile Cover
You're traveling along in your LAV with a Laser, Sniper or Tactical Rifle and some redberry with an Assault Rifle is peppering you with fire. Park the LAV perpendicular to the enemy's line of fire, get out, and kill him from behind it.
- Mark & Panic
Take a LAV, stick an Active Scanner or two on it. Drive it around the back of an enemy "camp" and drive in a circle or figure eight, cycling the scanners. A gunner on a missle turret helps. While the enemies are trying to destroy you, your squad can push up and flank their marked red rears. Works best in pubs on new players.
- Battering Ram
Take a LLAV or HAV and smash other vehicles. HAVs should use Nitrous Injectors. Whoever has the highest total health and speed wins! Works well with Blasters on HAVs.

Blockade Runner
We all know that dropships are mainly used for getting on top of structures and throwing links. In an effort to not be the accomplice of the [expletive] players that forge or snipe from above, equip a militia dropship with an after burner and scanner, fly to the ceiling at the beginning of a match, and after the enemy has moved from the first objective, swoop down and place a link. Blueberries or squadmates will be able to spawn and flank the enemy, pincer-moving the enemy from behind and dividing them in an effort to defend both fronts (ideally).
LAVs can be used as well, but dropships are cooler and can carry more people as well.
A Dropship with a CRU can split the enemy force into 3 separate fronts; front (normal), back (uplinks) and above (CRU). Nice. Just drop some allies in the middle when all the enemies are facing outwards. |

I used the CRU for a while. Is it bugged for the dropship? I know it doesn't work when it's full, which sucks for HAVs and makes it useless. |

Bait on Wings
Fly around, start watching enemies get out forge guns, swarm launchers and enter turret installations to try shoot you down. I've gotten about 3 enemies on me at once sometimes, and in 16v16 matches that's pretty solid. Not to mention you draw the attention of every roof forger (who are an immense pain for your friendlies below) in the vicinity. Make sure you pack an afterburner or you won't live long.
CRU
Park on a handy roof with an mCRU, and you become a CRU in that area, except people that spawn aren't invisible BUT are protected inside the dropship.
Note: the bug that prevents people from spawning into your mcru whilst their clone is not terminated and still can be revived still hasn't been fixed. This tactic may not produce results that are as good as just dropping uplinks on roofs, since you also get team spawn WP from those.
It's raining bird cr@p
Load out a dropship with solid turrets, grab a few gunners, hover above a tank, rain hell on it. The best thing about this is that the tank driver will be cursing himself for destroying all those railgun turrets because now his team don't have them to shoot you down. Beware AV, however. If you start getting hit FLY DIRECTLY UP or as close to that as possible. Do not strafe into the range of the tank's turrets.
Nice. I'll compile as many of these as possible and separate them by vehicle in a "2.0" thread if enough are posted, with credit. |

Hah. I don't Murder Taxi, but it's pretty easy to counter by standing on a ledge. If you stand on a little hill (I call them "speed bumps"), you can strafe out of the way before you get hit.
I get annoyed when 3-4 enemies do it at once, though. |
